The LINC Home Modification and Maintenance Service
(HMMS) can provide subsidised minor building alterations and/or maintenance
to the homes of people who are HACC eligible. Modifications can include
handrails inside or outside the home, replacing the bath with a shower,
replacing a fixed shower rose with a hand held shower, widening doorways
to allow wheelchair access, installing ramps to replace steps, etc
LINC subsides
around 50% (depending on your income) of the labour cost of the job.
You also pay the full cost of materials. You have the option of paying
these costs over time.
