To support adolescents
through issues, whether they be major problems or a minor difficulty.
To facilitate the ability
of young people to make decisions based
on self respect and kowledge.
To work with young
people to create greater self awareness and increased choices.
To be a source of independent
support without judjement or advice giving.
To work with
family members where it is appropriate and where there is
a desire for this on the client's part.
What Kind of Problems
will the Counsellor Help With? The Adolescent and Family Counsellor is available to see you about
anything that is a concern in your life right now. This includes
things like:
Relationship
problems, or problems with friends, siblings or parents.
Leaving home
or returning home, stress, work or difficult decisions.
Loss. The loss
of a family member, a friend, a pet...
Family break
up, parent's divorce, new people coming into your
family.
Career, what
will you choose, how do you decide?
Abuse and bullying,
maybe you are being bullied, perhaps you have a friend
who you think is
being mistreated.
