The aim of ALI is to provide service users with access to community
based recreation and leisure services; also to link them with mainstream
educational and vocational agencies. Over recent years we have worked with
service users on an individual and small group basis to encourage
and support their lifestyle choices. We have seen many positive
changes take place over the years with many service users gaining new
skills, increasing confidence in their own abilities and becoming
active members in their own community.
A number of ALI service users take part in the weekly music sessions which have included drumming lessons, percussion instruments and
karaoke singing; A great time is had by all participants when expressing
their appreciation of music.

A weekly gym program encourages ALI clients to think about their fitness
with individual programs to suit all levels and abilities.
Art as Therapy is a weekly program that is increasing in popularity with our service users. Visiting Art Galleries, completing self portraits
and exhibiting their works of art in the local regional library all contribute towards promoting higher levels of self esteem and confidence.
